A graduate of our MBA Brand Marketing and International Management and today Manager of the Qeelin boutique, Place Vendôme, Qi Zhang tells us about his career.

Why did you choose Sup de Luxe?

After holding various positions in Hermès and Cartier in China, I wanted to pursue my career in France, the original home of luxury, and complete my training with an MBA in luxury management from a leading institution in this field.

What is the best memory of your training?

There were many highlights during the course, but I particularly appreciated the lectures given by renowned professionals in the sector, such as Chantal Thomas or the founder of Bell & Ross.
In addition to the theoretical training, these talks gave a practical and concrete aspect to the course.

How did the skills you acquired help you in your career?

The numerous tasks to be carried out in teams helped me to improve my ability to work in a group.
This skill is extremely useful, for example in team management, where it is important to be able to communicate and respect the point of view of the collaborators, while giving the direction to follow.

Tell us about your career and how it has evolved from graduation to today?

After graduation, I worked for four years as Assistant Director at the Delvaux boutique at Le Bon Marché, before joining Qeelin in early 2020 to manage the flagship store at Place Vendôme.

Its "East meets West" philosophy gives it a very special identity in the European luxury landscape.

What do you wish for the future of your career?

To be able to continue to exercise my skills in luxury retail, a field that I am passionate about and in which we are constantly faced with new challenges.

Tell us your vision of luxury in one sentence.

Exception, excellence and emotion.
