Who is responsible for processing your data?

EDC Association, registered under SIRET number 40249993300024, is responsible for the processing of personal data provided via the form on this website, information provided by telephone or via one of our paper forms, data obtained as a result of the relationship between us and information resulting from your browsing and consumption habits. What is the purpose of processing your personal data?

EDC Association will process your personal data in order to manage its relationship with you and send you commercial offers, by post, telephone, in person and/or by email, including at the end of our commercial relationship and for the period defined below, to keep you informed of our products and services similar to those you have acquired.

In addition, and subject to your agreement, we inform you that in order to be able to offer you products and services from EDC Association or third party companies tailored to your interests and to improve your experience as a user of our website, we will create a "business profile" based on all the information you have provided us or on information resulting from your consumption and browsing habits and those obtained through social networks.
 
Similarly, and always subject to your agreement, your personal data and your commercial profile will be transferred to all the companies of the Planeta Group so that they can send you commercial offers concerning their products and services or those from third party companies.  To this end, your commercial profile and data, as well as data and profiles already obtained previously by the companies of the Planeta Group, are grouped together so that the offers we offer you are adapted to your tastes, interests, consumption and navigation habits as well as your commercial preferences. This processing will involve the cross-referencing of databases from the various companies of the Planeta Group and their mutual enrichment.

Third party companies, companies outside our group, that are the subject of commercial communications from us, will be companies that operate in the same sectors as those of the Planeta Group companies, as indicated above, or in the sectors of telecommunications, banking, finance, travel, technology and legal activities.
How long will your data be kept?

Your data are stored in our systems for the necessary duration of the planned processing and at most for a period of:
3 years for customers, from the end of the commercial relationship and only for commercial prospecting purposes;
3 years for prospects, starting from the collection of their data or the last contact made by the prospect. At the end of these 3 years, we undertake to contact you again to find out whether or not you wish to continue to receive commercial solicitations.

 

What is the legal basis for processing your data?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the execution and maintenance of the business relationship with you; the express consent, if any, you have given us for the additional processing consisting in sending our own commercial communications and/or communications from third companies, the creation of commercial profiles and the transfer of these data and profiles to the companies of the Planeta Group for the purposes specified in the previous paragraph "For what purpose do we process your personal data? » 

We inform you that the personal data required at the time of registration on this website as well as those provided by telephone or in our paper forms are strictly necessary to formalize and manage the relationship with you, so that if we do not provide such information, we will not be able to maintain this relationship. In any case, this main purpose does not depend on consent for the processing of data not necessary for this main purpose.

As we have previously indicated, the prospective offer of our own products and services and/or those of third parties, as well as the creation of commercial profiles and the transfer of these profiles and your personal data to companies belonging to the Planeta Group, constitute additional processing based on the consent requested of you, without at any time the withdrawal of this consent conditioning the maintenance of our relationship with us.

Only if you give us your consent, your personal data and, if applicable, your commercial profile will be communicated to the following recipients:

Companies belonging to the Planeta Group (listed on the website https://www.planeta.es/fr/qui-sommes-nous) whose activities are related to the publishing, education, culture, leisure, booklets, textiles, private insurance, mass consumption and jewellery sectors,

What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 as amended and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data, you have the following rights over your data: right of access, right of rectification, right to erase (right to forget), right of opposition, right to limit processing, right to portability. 

You can also define guidelines for the storage, erasure and communication of your personal data after your death.  

In the event of failure to comply with the above provisions, you have the right to file a complaint with the CNIL.
