Meet Sandrine Audegond
Expert in French Wine and Gastronomy

Sandrine Audegond is an author, consultant, and educator specializing in wine and French gastronomic culture. She has established herself as a leading figure in wine education, combining historical, pedagogical, and sensory approaches in her work.
With a strong interest in history, she began her academic journey in the humanities, which she pursued at Sorbonne University and later at Sciences Po. There, she developed a cultural and analytical perspective on societies and traditions. This background continues to shape her approach to wine, which she views as both a cultural artifact and a product of craftsmanship and heritage.
She then moved into the wine industry, where she spent over twelve years working across various roles in distribution and production. This hands-on experience gave her an in-depth understanding of the sector and the key challenges facing the wine industry.
In 2016, she chose to focus on professional training and wine education. Since then, she has been teaching a wide range of audiences, helping them develop a modern and accessible understanding of wine through courses on tasting, wine appreciation, and sensory analysis.
Alongside her teaching activities, Sandrine Audegond is also the author of several books on wine and gastronomy, including L’Aromabook du vin, Le vin sans complexe, and Le goût de Paris, co-written with Nathalie Helal, which received the Prix Rungis des Gourmets.
As part of her commitment to sharing wine culture with a broader audience, she also publishes an online Substack newsletter, Le Vin en Héritage, dedicated to wine culture, its history, and its transmission, and aimed at a wide community of enthusiasts.
She also contributes to wine evaluation as a member of tasting panels and leads wine workshops aimed at making wine culture more accessible to a broader audience.
As a lecturer at Sup de Luxe, she brings together her cultural insight and industry expertise to help students understand the challenges of luxury food and gastronomy, particularly through the lens of wine, taste, and sensory experience.
