Sup de luxe s’associe à Polimoda, l’institut de mode et de design en Italie

Sup de luxe joins forces with Polimoda, the fashion and design institute in Italia

SUP DE LUXE, the luxury school belonging to EDC Paris Business School, has decided to partner with the fashion and design institute POLIMODA, based in Florence, to extend its academic offer. In this context, the school has allowed its MSc Fashion & Luxury Business students to follow a week of online training provided by the institute POLIMODA from Florence, Italy. During this seminar the students were able to better understand the creation process and the life cycle of a luxury product and understand its importance through time and space.

The partnership between Sup de Luxe and Polimoda is an extension of the programme offered to students of the MSc Fashion & Luxury Business. Thanks to this association, the students were able to discover the life cycle of a product in a luxury environment as well as the importance of a collection, its characteristics, its process and its chronology in the management of seasonal collections; to apprehend the universe of textiles, materials, possible uses, etc.; and finally to understand how fashion is integrated into society and its perspectives.

Candidates receive a double training by benefiting from Polimoda's unrivalled experience in training fashion professionals and from Sup de Luxe's academic and pedagogical excellence.

The courses took place in May from Polimoda Design Lab in Scandicci, which, thanks to its strategic position in the heart of the Florentine district, guarantees students a direct link between industry and state-of-the-art laboratories. This program complements the two-year MSc Fashion & Luxury Business course, which provides the necessary management skills for the fashion industry.

I am delighted with this collaboration which offers a real asset to our students. This training module launched with Polimoda in Italy will undoubtedly give our students a better vision of the realities and challenges of fashion creativity and distribution in the world. "says Thibaut de la Rivière, Director of Sup de Luxe.

Today, Sup de Luxe contributes each year to the training of more than 500 young people in the luxury professions in various sectors: jewelry, gastronomy, real estate, fashion, leather goods, watchmaking, etc. The courses are given mainly by professionals from the brands and ‘maisons’, but also by high-level research professors.
